How to Use Claude Skills for Repeatable AI Marketing Reports

What Are Claude Skills?

Skills are reusable workflows you can run inside Claude for tasks you want to repeat consistently. For this reporting workflow, that can include recurring performance reports, creative analysis, or other processes you've already built and refined.

Instead of reconstructing the same prompt every time, the Skill packages the workflow so you can call it when you need it.

Where to Find Skills in Claude

You can find your Skills in the Customize section of Claude's sidebar. This gives you a central place to manage the reusable workflows you've created.

As the reporting environment grows, you can build a library of Skills for the tasks you run repeatedly rather than managing each report as a separate one-off workflow.

Run a Claude Skill with a Slash Command

Running a Skill is simple. Start a new chat, type a forward slash, and Claude will show the Skills available to you.

From there, select the Skill you want to run. If you have a Weekly Performance Report Skill, for example, you can select it and launch the reporting workflow directly from the chat.

Why Skills Are Better for Repeatable Reports

Before Skills, my workflow relied more heavily on saved Artifacts. I would create a report, add it to the Project, start a new chat, ask Claude to "list artifacts", find the report I wanted, and then run it again.

That works, but it's more manual. Skills remove several of those steps. Instead of searching through previously saved reports, you select the workflow you want and run it directly.

Turn a Report You Build in Chat into a Reusable Skill

You don't need to know exactly what the finished Skill should look like before you start. A practical approach is to build the report interactively inside a normal chat first.

Once you've worked through the output, refined the report, and know what you want it to do consistently, you can turn that workflow into a Skill. That gives you the flexibility of vibe reporting during development and the speed of a repeatable workflow once the report is established.

Use Skills for Recurring AI Reporting Tasks

Skills are especially useful for tasks that have a consistent underlying process but need to run against new data over and over again.

A weekly performance report is a good example. The structure and reporting logic stay relatively consistent, while the underlying data changes each week. Packaging that workflow as a Skill makes it much easier to run whenever you need an updated report.

Skills Make the Reporting Workflow More Seamless

The broader goal is to reduce the amount of setup required every time you want to perform a familiar task. Your Project already provides the data, instructions, context, and refinements. Skills add a reusable execution layer on top.

That makes the workflow feel less like repeatedly prompting an AI from scratch and more like working with a set of reporting tools that already understand how the job should be done.
